About Jo Hennessy | Heart-Mind Performance Coach
My Journey
After several years in assurance and consulting across the UK and Europe, I reached a point where, on paper, everything looked successful - but internally, I felt increasingly stretched, tired, and disconnected from a way of working that felt sustainable.
I was performing well and exceeding expectations, but over time I began to notice the personal cost. My energy was depleted, my relationships were affected, and I realised there was little support for sustaining high performance and increasing demands in a healthy way.
That experience stayed with me. It led me to start paying closer attention to how I was working & living - how energy is managed, how stress shows up in the body, and what it actually takes to perform at a high level in a way that works with your life, not against it.
Over time, I began exploring evidence-informed approaches to performance and wellbeing, including coaching, neuroscience, and mind-body practices, all with the same question in mind: how do we sustain performance without losing ourselves in the process?
Today, I work with people who are capable, driven, and committed - but quietly stretched - helping them perform in a way that feels sustainable, grounded, and aligned.

A Personal Touch
Outside of coaching, I value family time, playing tennis, singing, and simple daily habits that restore energy and focus. These practices are at the heart of my coaching philosophy — small, intentional steps that make a big difference over time
Redefining success so it feels energising, sustainable, and truly your own...
How I Help
Through my Heart-Mind Performance System™, I help you move from constant pressure and reactivity to a more grounded, intentional, and energised way of working and living.
What we work on together:
Regulating stress so you can stay steady in high-pressure environments
Rebuilding energy so you’re not constantly running on empty
Strengthening focus, clarity, and decision-making under pressure
Creating sustainable routines that support both performance and wellbeing
Aligning work, personal life, and priorities in a way that feels manageable
How it works
My approach blends evidence-informed and practical tools drawn from:
HeartMath® techniques for emotional regulation and resilience
Neuroscience to understand focus, stress, and behaviour under pressure
NLP for shifting patterns and internal dialogue
High-performance coaching to translate insight into real-world change
This is not about doing more. It’s about helping you work and perform in a way that supports your system, rather than depleting it.
My approach is grounded in structured coaching training and on-going research.
Qualifications & Approach
My work is grounded in a combination of professional training, evidence-based practice, and a genuine interest in how people can perform and feel their best in real life - not just in theory.
I hold an ICF accredited Diploma in Personal Performance Coaching, alongside CPD qualifications in Career Coaching, High Performance Teams Coaching, Mental Health and Coaching, and NLP for Coaches.
I am also a certified HeartMath® Coach, trained in practical, science-backed techniques for emotional regulation, resilience, and working with stress in a more sustainable way.
Alongside my coaching training, I hold a Degree in Management Science & Engineering from the University of Leeds and an International Diploma in Business Analysis. This background continues to shape my structured, thoughtful approach to understanding performance, pressure, and decision-making.
I’m committed to ongoing learning and development, continually integrating new insights from coaching, neuroscience, and mind-body approaches to support meaningful, sustainable change.

Sustainable performance isn’t something you force - it’s something you learn to build.
If you’re ready to feel more focused, energised, and resilient in how you work and live, I’d love to hear from you.
No pressure, just a chance to explore what sustainable performance could look like for you.
